Prep Your Nails:
- Start with clean, dry nails. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails.
- If you want to use a colored nail polish as a base, apply it now and let it dry completely.
Apply Nail Foil Adhesive:
- Apply a thin, even layer of nail foil adhesive on your nails.
- Wait for the adhesive to become tacky. It usually takes 1-2 minutes. The adhesive will go from milky white to clear when it’s ready.
Apply the Nail Foil:
- Cut a small piece of the nail foil that you’ll use for one nail.
- With the shiny side of the foil facing up (the design side facing outward), gently place the foil over the nail.
- Press down using a cuticle pusher, cotton swab, or your finger to ensure the foil adheres well, especially around the edges.
Remove the Foil:
- Carefully lift the foil away from the nail. The design should transfer from the foil onto your nail.
- If there are any gaps, you can reapply a small section of foil to those areas.
Seal with Top Coat:
- Once the foil is applied, seal it with a top coat to prevent chipping and give a smooth finish.
- Be careful with the top coat application, as some top coats can crinkle or dull the foil if applied too thickly.
Clean Up:
- If there is any foil sticking to the skin or cuticles, gently clean around the edges with a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover.
